| The Scottish town of Irvine had at least 2 greyhound tracks in the past, the earliest of which opened in the Townhead region of the town on 30th December 1932. Townhead was close to the Scottish horse racecourse of Bogside, which had been the home of the Scottish Grand National until the track closed. Townhead raced once weekly, whilst its more illustrious neighbour, Caledonian Stadium, raced twice a week. |
